Opportunity:

RN - Tele

Job Details:

• Work 12.5-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• 13-week assignment
• Guaranteed 36 hours per week
• Work every other weekend as well as some holidays
• No on-call requirements
• 2+ years of hospital or telemetry specialty experience required
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIH
• Active Texas RN license required - temporary licenses will not be accepted
• Telemetry monitoring experience required
• Preferred skills include interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, knowledge of cardiac medications, and IV drip management including insulin, heparin, and other cardiac drips
• Perform IV insertion and management, management of lines and drains, and post-care management of cardiac catheterization, pacemaker placement or revision, and vascular surgery
• Document using Meditech (EBCD) charting system
• Utilize AIDET communication framework and participate in communication boards, hourly rounding, and bedside shift report
• Must be able to work effectively in a fast-paced clinical team setting with effective patient communication and de-escalation techniques
• All travelers required to float per facility floating policy
• Dress code: Navy scrub top and pants, navy or white scrub jacket; clean and healthy nail policy; neat and clean hair with no extreme styles or colors; body art should be covered whenever possible; visible piercings other than ears are prohibited
