Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg Tele

Job Details:

• 12-hour night shifts, 3 days per week from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Float required to other like units or nearby hospitals as needed
• Patient population includes adults and geriatrics
• Patient diagnoses include orthopedics and bariatric cases on a telemetry unit
• Night shift patient ratio of 6:1; day shift patient ratio of 4-5:1
• Unit capacity of 25 beds with a daily census of 20
• Medication system: Pyxis
• Charting system: EPIC (minimum 1 year of experience required)
• Must be comfortable with interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, MS/Tele, telemetry, and EKG testing
• Interdisciplinary support available including physical therapy, respiratory services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and unit secretary
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience required; first-time travelers must have 3 years of experience within the specialty
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
• South Carolina RN license required
