Opportunity:

RN - Cardiac Tele

Job Details:

• 13 to 26 week contract option available
• Night shift schedule: 3x12 or 4x12 hours, 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Weekend coverage required every other weekend, may change based on need
• Float to other units required if needed
• Patient ratio of 4:1 for days, nights, and weekends
• Care for adult and geriatric patient populations
• Patient diagnoses include CAD S/P CABG, Cardiac Valve Repair, Lung Cancer S/P VATS, and Esophageal Cancer
• Must have experience with post-surgical cardiovascular patients
• Cardiac drips and insulin drip experience required
• Must be able to pass EKG exam prior to start
• Skills required include cardiac telemetry, interpretation of dysrhythmias, management of dysrhythmias, heparin protocols, IV insulin protocols, titration of cardiac and insulin drips, central line care and management, PICC line management, blood product administration, PCA, and pre/post cardiac surgery care
• Medication system: Omnicell
• Minimum 1 year of Epic EMR experience required
• Minimum 2 years of experience in field required; first-time travelers must have 3 years of experience within the specialty
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, arrhythmia certification, and South Carolina RN license
