Opportunity:

RN - Cardiac Tele

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts, either 3x12 or 4x12 schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Floating required to like units at this hospital or nearby hospitals depending on need
• Weekend coverage every other weekend, may change based on need
• Low census standby possible
• Care for adult patients in observation status and inpatient overflow
• Treat patients with chest pain/acute coronary syndrome, cardiac arrhythmias, diabetes, syncope, permanent pacemaker insertion, CVA/TIA/stroke work-up, pneumonia, heart failure, COPD, sepsis, and GI bleed
• Perform cardiac/telemetry monitoring, pulse oximetry monitoring, patient assessments, and coordination of testing and procedures
• Perform procedures including permanent pacemaker pacing, TEE, negative pressure isolation (AFB), thoracentesis/paracentesis, Level 3 administration of continuous intravenous infusions, and Level 3 IV push medications
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop patient-specific plans of care
• Consult with specialty services including cardiology, general surgery, orthopedics, and neurology
• Utilize Pyxis and Omnicell medication systems
• Must have at least 1 year of EPIC EMR experience
• Minimum 1 year of experience in cardiac telemetry required
• Required certifications: SC RN license, ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS
• Required skills: Cardiac telemetry, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, telemetry remote monitoring, and use of rapid response/code teams
