Respiratory Therapist Job in Bay City, MI

McLaren Bay Region is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) for a temporary assignment on the night shift. You will provide respiratory care services to patients in emergency, intensive care, and therapeutic treatment settings.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Perform invasive and non-invasive monitoring and diagnostic testing for pulmonary and cardiopulmonary disorders
• Interview, examine, and assess patients with breathing or cardiopulmonary conditions
• Consult with physicians to develop individualized patient treatment plans
• Create and implement therapy programs based on physician instructions and clinical findings
• Administer treatments including chest physiotherapy, aerosol medications, CPAP, and BiPAP therapies
• Measure lung capacity and perform other diagnostic respiratory tests
• Monitor and maintain respiratory equipment
• Conduct patient education related to pulmonary and cardiopulmonary conditions
• Participate in quality assurance and improvement activities

Position Details:

• Schedule: 3x12 nights with every other weekend required
• Duration: 91 days
• Start date: August 31, 2026
• Weekly pay: $1,949
• No on-call responsibilities

Requirements:

• 2+ years of Registered Respiratory Therapist experience
• Current Michigan state license
• Current certifications: NBRC, NRP, BLS (AHA), and ACLS (AHA)
• Travel experience preferred
