Opportunity:

RN - Tele

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Every other weekend required with night shift working Friday/Saturday
• Rotating holidays required including Memorial Day, 4th of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years
• No on-call responsibilities on this unit
• Nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:5 for telemetry patients
• Care for telemetry patients including post-catheterization, medical/surgical with telemetry monitoring needs, and patients with respiratory difficulty
• Must have understanding and comfort with basic dysrhythmia and telemetry strip interpretation
• Nurses are expected to place IVs and draw labs from central lines when ordered
• Nurses reconstitute antibiotics and may manage titrating heparin for telemetry patients
• Point of care testing includes blood sugar monitoring using AccuChek glucometer with barcode scanning
• Floating may occur to comparable or lower level units including telemetry, med/surg, or to assist with admitted boarded patients in the emergency department
• Self-scheduling and block scheduling available for travelers depending on unit needs
• Navy blue scrubs required - nurses must provide their own
• Charting system: EPIC - fluency preferred
• Minimum 5 years of RN experience required
• Minimum 1 year of travel nursing experience required
• Required certifications: ACLS (AHA), BLS (AHA), NIHSS
• Valid driver's license required with address outside 50 miles from facility
