Telemetry RN Job in Bridgeport, WV

You will work as a Registered Nurse in a Telemetry float pool at WVU United Hospital Center in Bridgeport, WV. This is a 91-day travel assignment with a start date of October 26, 2026.

Schedule and Pay

• 3x12 night shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
• Every-other-weekend requirement
• $2,413 per week
• Holiday rotation schedule with permanent staff

Role Details

You will float across multiple units including 6N (36 beds), 7N (29 beds), 4N (36 beds), 5S (36 beds), 6S (36 beds), and Critical Care (20 beds). Prior to each shift, you will report to the clinical coordinator's office for unit assignment. Nurse-to-patient ratios are typically 1:5–6, with potential for up to 7 patients toward the end of shift depending on acuity.

Patient populations include CHF, cardiac catheterization, chest pain, pneumonia, chronic renal disease, COPD, orthopedic conditions, and oncology. You will read and interpret cardiac rhythm strips using Phillips monitoring systems. Monitor technicians are available on most units. You will not be required to titrate drips. CPAP and BiPAP are managed by respiratory therapy. CNAs and a charge nurse are available on every unit; the night charge nurse takes patients.

Requirements and Support

• Current ACLS and BLS certifications
• Ability to read and interpret cardiac rhythm strips
• Must complete and pass a cardiac rhythm exam prior to starting
• 1–2 orientation shifts provided with a preceptor
• Valid driver's license (50-mile radius rule applies)

Facility Information

Charting is performed in EPIC. Royal blue scrubs are required. You will work alongside permanent staff in a structured orientation environment.
