Telemetry RN Job in Martinsburg, WV

WVU Berkeley Medical Center is seeking an RN for a 91-day travel assignment in Telemetry. You will work a 3x12 rotating schedule with 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, including every other weekend (Friday and Saturday nights). There are no on-call responsibilities.

What You'll Do

• Provide direct patient care with a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:5 for telemetry patients
• Care for patients with telemetry monitoring needs, post-catheterization status, medical/surgical patients requiring telemetry, and those with respiratory difficulty
• Perform point-of-care testing, including blood sugar monitoring with AccuChek glucometer and barcode scanning
• Place IVs and draw labs from central lines as ordered
• Administer and reconstitute antibiotics; manage titrating heparin for telemetry patients
• Demonstrate comfort with basic dysrhythmia interpretation and telemetry strip verification
• Float to comparable or lower-level units, including med/surg or the emergency department to assist with boarded patients as needed
• Chart using the EPIC system

Requirements

• Current RN license
• Minimum 5 years of RN experience
• Minimum 1 year of travel nursing experience
• ACLS (AHA), BLS (AHA), and NIHSS certifications
• Valid driver's license with address outside 50 miles from the facility
• EPIC proficiency preferred
• You must provide your own Navy blue scrubs

• Self-scheduling and block scheduling available depending on unit needs
• Weekly pay: $2,295
