Respiratory Therapist Job in Phoenix, AZ

You'll work as a Respiratory Therapist at St Josephs Hospital and Medical Center, a Trauma Level 1 acute care facility in Phoenix. This is a 91-day travel assignment beginning November 16, 2026.

Schedule & Compensation

• 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each (6:00 AM–6:30 PM or 6:00 PM–6:30 AM)
• Every other weekend or 4 weekend shifts per month required
• Holiday rotation coverage as needed
• Weekly pay: $1,866.24
• Hospital may cancel up to 3 shifts for this assignment length

Your Role

• Assigned to a specific unit area; no floating to outpatient
• Serve as Lead on duty for every shift
• Perform 35–40 procedures (RVUs) per day
• Run all ventilators, BiPAP V60, and CPAP
• Manage all arterial blood gases (ABGs)
• Assist with bronchoscopies
• Respond to Clinical Response Team calls with your Lead
• Proficiency required in at least one of: Servo I, Jets, or Oscillators

Experience & Certifications

• Minimum 2 years of strong ICU experience; NICU experience preferred
• Current BLS certification
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential via NBRC
• Valid Arizona RT license required
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) required for those working Adults and NICU
• ACLS preferred
• Cerner charting system experience required

Onboarding

• 2-day unit orientation on the regular floor
• Skills validation following orientation
