ICU - Intensive Care Unit

RN - ICU

Job Details:

• Work every other weekend with a minimum of 2 shifts required from each shift
• No on-call responsibilities
• 2+ years of ICU experience required
• Must be comfortable floating to ED and Step Down units
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS (AHA), NIHSS
• Nice to have certifications: TCAR, TNCC, CCRN, SCRN
• Travel experience preferred
• Neurosurgical experience preferred
• Open heart experience preferred
• Michigan nursing license required
• Collaborate with physicians to develop and implement patient care plans aimed at returning patients to optimal health
• Provide bedside nursing care and carry out medical orders
• Delegate to and oversee Nurse Assistant, Patient Care Associate, and other ancillary personnel
• Evaluate effectiveness of care plans and adjust as needed
• Integrate evidence-based knowledge into practice
• Facilitate and participate in patient conferences
• Identify and address patients' ongoing and discharge/transfer teaching needs
• Precept and mentor new employees and students
• Function as a team leader to ensure proper patient placement and delegation of assignments
