Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg Tele

Job Details:

• Work on the 5 East unit specializing in Oncology, Med Surg, Telemetry, and Vascular Access
• Schedule options available: 3x12-hour shifts or 4x12-hour shifts per week
• Overtime is paid after 48 hours for 4x12 schedules
• Every other weekend, floating, and holidays within the contract are required
• Typical patient ratio is 1:7 for both days and nights
• Serve adult and geriatric patient populations
• Daily census of 28 patients
• Minimum of two years of recent relevant experience required
• Previous travel experience preferred
• Active Virginia or Compact RN license required at time of submission; no exceptions
• Must be proficient in Epic; no exceptions
• Required certifications: BLS through the American Heart Association
• Required skills include interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, starting and maintaining IVs, telemetry, and on-site EKG exam
• EKG test required for this unit; must score 80% or higher to pass with only one attempt allowed
• 3 hours of pre-start modules required
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility; driver's license required for address verification
• Interdisciplinary support available including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, and rapid response teams
