Respiratory Therapist - Registered Respiratory Therapist

Job Details:

• Day shift position with 36 or 48 hours available per week
• 13-week or 26-week contract options available
• Every other weekend required
• Must work 2 out of 3 winter holidays; time off around Christmas is not available
• Self-scheduling model with manager guidance to best accommodate scheduling needs
• Work across all units of the Children's Hospital including NICU, PICU, high-risk deliveries, and acute care pediatrics
• Must have Level 4 NICU experience; cardiac PICU experience preferred
• Care for patients ranging from neonates and infants to adolescents and pediatrics
• Must be competent in caring for patients requiring complex respiratory support including use of the Bunnell Jet Ventilator and HFOV 3100A
• Perform respiratory therapies including CPAP, BIPAP, high-frequency oscillation, nitric oxide delivery, and neonatal transports
• Work within a multidisciplinary team requiring strong communication and critical thinking skills
• Minimum 1 year of experience required
• Epic experience required
• Required certifications: BLS, NRP, RRT, and Virginia State License; PALS and ACCS preferred
• Virginia license pending accepted provided a temporary license can be obtained before start date; must hold another state license to be eligible for a temporary license
