Respiratory Therapist - Registered Respiratory Therapist

Job Details:

• Night shift position with 12-hour shifts
• Contract length of 13 weeks or 26 weeks available
• Option to work 36 or 48 hours per week
• Every other weekend required
• Must work 2 out of 3 winter holidays; time off around Christmas is not available
• Self-scheduling model in place; manager will explain during call and will do best to accommodate preferences
• Must have Level 4 NICU experience
• Cardiac PICU experience preferred
• Position is based in the children's hospital; RT will be required to work in all units
• Must be competent in caring for patients in the NICU, PICU, high-risk deliveries, and acute care pediatrics
• Must work effectively within a multidisciplinary team with strong communication and critical thinking skills
• Patient age groups include neonates, infants, adolescents, and pediatrics
• Must be competent in the use of the Bunnell Jet Ventilator and HFOV 3100A
• Required certifications: RRT, BLS, NRP, and VA State License
• ACCS preferred
• PALS preferred
• Virginia license required; pending license accepted provided a temporary license can be obtained before start date; must hold another state license to be eligible for a temporary license
• Minimum 1 year of experience required
• Epic experience required
