Med Surg RN Job in Des Moines, IA

MercyOne Des Moines Medical Center is seeking an RN for its Medical Surgical Oncology unit. You will provide direct patient care in a specialized oncology setting, working with patients undergoing cancer treatment and recovery.

Position Details

• Shift: 3x12 nights per week, 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Schedule: Every other holiday and every other weekend rotation
• Duration: 91 days
• Start date: August 10, 2026
• Weekly pay: $2,230

Your Role

As an RN on the Medical Surgical Oncology unit, you will deliver compassionate care to patients undergoing cancer treatment. Your responsibilities include patient assessment, medication administration, symptom management, and coordination of care with the interdisciplinary oncology team. You will monitor vital signs, respond to patient needs, and maintain accurate medical records in a supportive environment.

What We're Looking For

• Current RN licensure in Iowa
• Experience in medical-surgical or oncology nursing preferred
• Ability to work nights and rotating weekends and holidays
