Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg

Job Details:

• 4x12 night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Patient ratios of 1:6 standard, with potential flex to 1:7 in cases of unplanned absences
• Every other weekend required
• On-call required on a PRN basis for low census
• Floating required within Med Surg units to meet facility needs
• Facility may call off 1 shift per 2 weeks
• 2 years of experience preferred; first-time travelers accepted
• SC license or Compact license must be in hand prior to start
• Required certifications: BLS
• Preferred certifications: ACLS, NIHSS
• Epic charting system experience required
• Scrub color: Royal Blue
• Free parking available
• Required skills include: Med/Surg, MS/Tele, Telemetry, Insulin, Rapid Response, Blood Product Administration, Central Line Blood Draw, Heparin, PICC Line Management, Wound Care/Wound Vac, Tracheostomy Care/Management, and Starting and Maintaining IVs
• Patients include adults and geriatrics with diagnoses such as diabetes, renal disease, hypertension, CAD, stroke, chest pain, and altered mental status
• Interdisciplinary support available including IV Teams, Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, Phlebotomy, Radiology, Social Services, Rapid Response Teams, and Pharmacy
• Telemedicine equipment used on unit; instruction will be provided
• Block scheduling approval can be requested prior to assignment but is not guaranteed
