ICU RN Job in Des Moines, IA

You will deliver intensive care nursing services to critically ill patients at MercyOne Des Moines Medical Center. This is a 91-day travel assignment beginning June 15, 2026, with a schedule of three 12-hour day shifts per week.

Your responsibilities include:

• Monitor patient vital signs and medical equipment continuously throughout your shift
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by the medical team
• Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation and records
• Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and other multidisciplinary team members to optimize patient outcomes
• Respond to changes in patient condition and alert providers as needed

Schedule details: You will work every other weekend and every other holiday. July 3rd and July 4th are required work days during your assignment.

Compensation: You will earn $2,342.34 per week. As a travel RN, you are responsible for arranging your own housing; ADEX Healthcare Staffing does not provide housing stipends for this assignment.

Requirements: Current RN licensure in Iowa is required. You must be able to commit to the full 91-day duration and adapt to the ICU environment, which includes caring for unstable patients and working in a fast-paced setting.
