ICU RN Job in Des Moines, IA

You will work as an RN in the Intensive Care Unit at MercyOne Des Moines Medical Center. This is a 181-day contract position that begins September 8, 2026.

Shift Details

• 3 shifts per week, 12.5 hours each
• Night shift: 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Every other holiday schedule
• Every other weekend schedule

Compensation

• Weekly pay: $2,384

Role Overview

You will provide direct patient care in an intensive care setting, monitoring critically ill patients, managing complex medical equipment, and collaborating with the healthcare team to deliver evidence-based nursing care. Your responsibilities will include vital sign monitoring, medication administration, wound care, documentation, and patient communication with family members during a high-acuity experience.

This position offers you the opportunity to work in a structured intensive care environment with predictable scheduling. The every-other weekend and every-other-holiday rotation allows for consistent time off planning throughout your contract. Night shifts may appeal to you if you prefer evening-to-morning hours and want to work with a dedicated ICU team.
