ICU Registered Nurse Job in Sioux City, IA

You'll work as a Registered Nurse in the Intensive Care Unit at UnityPoint - St. Luke's Downtown in Sioux City, Iowa. This is a temporary assignment running for 91 days, starting December 21, 2026.

Schedule and Compensation

• 3x12 hour day shifts per week
• Every third weekend required
• No on-call responsibilities
• Weekly pay: $2,362

Your Role

You'll provide direct patient care in the ICU, working with cardiac, trauma, and neuro patient populations. You'll contribute your clinical knowledge and skills as part of the interdisciplinary team. You may be asked to float within the same discipline across local campuses.

Key Requirements

• Current Iowa nursing license
• 2+ years of ICU experience
• BLS certification (AHA preferred; ARC or US Military accepted)
• ACLS certification (AHA preferred; ARC or US Military accepted)
• PALS preferred
• TNCC preferred and will be required if extending the assignment
• Valid driver's license
• Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility
• Skills checklist specific to ICU discipline required
• 1 supervisory reference form completed within the last two years

Important Notes

• The facility uses EPIC for the electronic medical record system
• Winter holiday requirement: you must work 2 of 3 holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Day, New Year's Day)
• Limited time-off requests between November 25–29 and December 23–27
• First-time travelers are welcome
