ICU Registered Nurse Job in Sioux City, IA

UnityPoint – St. Luke's Downtown in Sioux City, IA is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for a temporary assignment in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU). This is a 91-day position starting December 7, 2026.

Position Details

• Shift: 3x12 Days (every third weekend required)
• Guaranteed 36–40 hours per week
• No on-call responsibilities
• Weekly pay: $2,362

Clinical Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care to cardiac, trauma, and neuro populations
• Contribute clinical knowledge and skills as part of the interdisciplinary care team
• May float within the same discipline across local campuses
• Work 2 of 3 winter holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Day, and New Year's Day

Requirements

• Current Iowa nursing license
• Minimum 2+ years of ICU experience
• BLS certification (AHA preferred; ARC or US Military certificates accepted)
• ACLS certification (AHA preferred; ARC or US Military certificates accepted)
• Valid driver's license
• ICU-specific skills checklist completed
• One supervisory reference form from the last two years
• Reside at least 50 miles from the facility

Preferred Qualifications

• PALS certification
• TNCC certification (required if extending assignment)
• First-time traveler candidates welcome

The facility uses EPIC for electronic medical records. This role offers a structured schedule with no call responsibilities, making it ideal for travel nurses seeking predictable hours and clear expectations.
