ICU RN Job in Des Moines, IA

MercyOne Des Moines Medical Center is seeking an RN for a 6-month contract position in the Intensive Care Unit. You will join a dedicated team providing critical care to patients in a fast-paced, dynamic healthcare environment.

Position Details:

• Role: RN - ICU Flex Pool
• Schedule: 3x12-hour night shifts, 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Duration: 182 days, starting September 7, 2026
• Location: Des Moines, IA

Scheduling Requirements:

• Every other weekend required
• Holiday rotation required, including July 4th and every other holiday thereafter
• 24-hour notice before orientation waived

Compensation:

• Weekly pay: $2,384

As an ICU RN, you will care for critically ill patients, monitor vital signs, administer medications, manage medical equipment, and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to deliver evidence-based care. Your clinical judgment, attention to detail, and ability to respond quickly to patient changes are essential to this role.

You must hold a current RN license in Iowa and demonstrate competency in critical care nursing. This position is ideal for a travel nurse seeking a structured contract with predictable scheduling and the opportunity to work within a well-established medical center.
