ICU Float Pool RN Job in Philadelphia, PA

You will work as a Registered Nurse in a float pool role at Temple University Hospital, rotating across all intensive care units, step-down units, intermediate care units (IMCU), and the emergency department for ICU holds and boarders. You may also float to the Women's and Family unit as needed based on census and patient acuity.

Your Responsibilities

• Assess, implement, and evaluate care for assigned patients under the direction of a licensed physician
• Collaborate with patients, family members, and healthcare team members to individualize patient care
• Direct nursing support staff in the provision of patient care according to nursing practice standards and departmental policies
• Maintain patient ratios not exceeding 1:3 when assigned to any unit or hospital
• Float assignments are normally made 24 hours in advance; however, you may be pulled mid-shift to float to other units or hospitals as needed

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience with at least 1 year in an ICU setting
• No new graduates will be considered
• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing; Bachelor's degree preferred
• Valid Pennsylvania Registered Nurse License
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• TNCC certification preferred

Position Details

This is a 90-day travel assignment beginning August 24, 2026. You will work three 12-hour night shifts per week at $2,428.20 weekly. The facility will conduct a virtual interview process.
