Opportunity:

RN - Tele

Job Details:

• Work on A3 West Med Surg Telemetry unit with a patient ratio of 6:1 (night stretch ratio of 7:1)
• Unit consists of 38 beds with day shift staffing of 1 charge RN, 6-7 RNs, 1 LPN, 3 PCTs, and 1 unit secretary
• Night shift staffing includes 1 charge RN, 6 RNs, 1 LPN, 2-3 PCTs, and HUC for part of the shift
• Every other weekend required or 6 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule
• Travelers are expected to float before permanent staff to other medical surgical units and ED holding medical/surgical patients
• Perform peripheral IV starts, dressing changes, and other standard medical surgical skills
• Operate equipment including Baxter IV pumps, wound vacs, SCDs, prima-fits, and primo-fits
• Use Cerner Powerchart EMR system
• Medical/surgical nursing experience and telemetry experience required
• Charge nurse experience preferred
• Required certification: BLS
• Dress code: All navy, all white, or white top and navy pants; navy or white undershirts if needed
