PT - Physical Therapist Acute Care

Job Details:

• 5x8 day shift schedule, 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday through Friday
• Hours may flex with a later start time on Friday to assist with PACU discharge coverage
• Weekend coverage required: one weekend day per month with a compensatory day provided during the week
• No on-call responsibilities
• No float required
• Provide inpatient acute care physical therapy services to adult and geriatric patient populations
• Daily census of approximately 200 patients
• Required certifications: BLS and Maryland PT state license (must be in hand at time of submission, no pending licenses accepted)
• Minimum 2 years of recent acute care/inpatient physical therapy experience required
• Must have completed at least 1 travel assignment prior to consideration
• Required skills include: acute care, patient assessment, evaluation, discharge planning, plan of care, AROM/AAROM/PROM, assistive devices, strength testing, home exercise program, patient and family education, and orthopedic conditions including total hip replacement, total knee replacement, and post-op spinal surgery
• Experience with neurological, oncological, cardiopulmonary, and geriatric patient populations preferred
• Two supervisory references required, including one from most recent assignment
