Telemetry RN Job in Durango, CO

Mercy Hospital is seeking an RN for a 105-day travel assignment in Durango, Colorado. You will work a 3x12 night shift schedule (7:00 PM to 7:00 AM) in a float pool role covering multiple units.

Role Overview

As a float pool nurse, you will support General Med-Surg Telemetry, Cardiac, Neuro, Oncology, Rehab, Renal, Bariatrics, Orthopedics, Trauma, and ED Observation units. You may also be asked to cover low-acuity ICU holds, PCU/Stepdown, and additional med-surg telemetry areas. Nurse-to-patient ratios range from 1:5–6 depending on acuity.

Schedule & Requirements

• Night shift: 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, 12-hour shifts
• 3 shifts per week over 105 days
• 6–9 weekend shifts required per 6-week schedule cycle
• Rare on-call or standby for low-census situations
• Holiday rotation participation may be required
• All time-off requests must be submitted before your start date
• Schedule is set by leadership for 6 weeks at a time; flexibility to fill permanent staff gaps is expected

Qualifications & Skills

• Minimum 2 years of med-surg telemetry experience
• Prior neuro experience preferred
• Comfortable titrating Heparin drips
• Experience with respiratory equipment: ventilators, CPAP, BiPap
• ACLS (AHA) and BLS (AHA) certifications required
• Colorado nursing license required
• BSN not required

Unit Details

• Charting: EPIC
• Nurse aids available on unit
• Any color scrubs accepted
• 1–2 days of orientation with a preceptor

Compensation

Weekly pay: $2,073.60. Assignment begins September 28, 2026.
