Pharmacist Inpatient Job in Boone, NC

Watauga Medical Center is seeking a Pharmacist for an inpatient position in Boone, NC. You will work a 4x10 schedule, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, with no shifts extending past 9:00 PM.

Your Responsibilities:

• Verify medication orders and review for patient allergies, drug interactions, and drug-disease state interactions
• Check orders for appropriate therapy and verify home medications against medication reconciliation reports
• Utilize pharmacist-to-dose consults and collaborate with physicians, residents, and healthcare team members as needed
• Check IV admixtures to ensure accuracy and patient safety in accordance with USP 797/800 guidelines
• Provide customer service to healthcare teammates by phone and in person

Requirements:

• PharmD degree required
• Current North Carolina pharmacy license required
• Minimum one year of pharmacy experience
• Recent Epic EMR experience required
• Pharmacist-to-dose protocol experience preferred
• Must reside at least 40 miles from the facility

• Duration: 91 days

• Weekly pay: $3,122
• Shift: 4x10 Days
