Operating Room RN Job in Las Cruces, NM

Mountainview Regional Medical Center is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for its Operating Room. You will work a 3x12 schedule on days (Monday, Tuesday, Friday, 6:30 AM to 7:00 PM) at this Level III Trauma facility.

Role Responsibilities:

• Serve as circulating nurse, managing patient safety, documentation, workflow coordination, and sterile field support during surgical procedures
• Provide comprehensive perioperative nursing care across General Surgery, Orthopedics, OBGYN, Robotics, Urology, Hand Surgery, and Podiatry
• Perform patient assessment and advocacy, surgical case preparation, equipment and supply management, and specimen handling
• Administer medications and coordinate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, surgical technologists, and nursing colleagues
• Ensure adherence to evidence-based practices and sterile technique standards throughout the intraoperative phase

Schedule Details:

• Day shift: 3 days per week (M/Tu/F), 6:30 AM to 7:00 PM
• Call required, averaging 7 calls per 6-week period with splits among OR RNs
• Weekday call: 3:00 PM to 7:00 AM; weekend call: 12-hour shifts (7:00 AM–7:00 PM or 7:00 PM–7:00 AM)
• Option to work 48 hours per week
• Holidays required; maximum 1 week requested time off
• No floating required

Requirements:

• RN license
• BLS certification (ACLS preferred)
• 2+ years OR experience required
• Experience in General Surgery, Orthopedics, OBGYN, Robotics, Urology, Hand Surgery, and Podiatry
