Med Surg RN Job in San Antonio, TX

Methodist Hospital Stone Oak is seeking an RN for Med Surg to join the team on a 13-week contract assignment beginning September 28, 2026.

Schedule & Pay

• Shift: 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM (nights), 12.5-hour shifts, three days per week
• 36 guaranteed hours per week
• Every other weekend rotation
• No call requirements
• Weekly pay: $1,532

Role Details

• Patient ratios of 1:5–6
• Handle surgical procedures, trauma patients, and large wounds
• Float as needed across units
• IV peripheral start and care, central line care, tubes and drains (NG, JP, chest tube), ostomy care, Foley catheter insertion and care
• Wound vacs and large dressing changes
• Tracheostomy care and 3-way bladder irrigation preferred

Requirements

• Current RN license (Texas)
• BLS certification
• Minimum 2+ years Med Surg RN experience
• Proficiency with Meditech charting system

Facility Expectations

• Navy scrub top and pants with navy or white scrub jacket
• Nails: no acrylics, no longer than 1 inch, clean with no chipped polish
• Hair: off shoulders, natural color
• Tattoos: covered whenever possible
• Visible piercings other than ears: prohibited
