Job Details:

• Minimum 2+ years of Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) experience required
• Administer medical gas therapy in accordance with all department procedures
• Evaluate appropriateness and effectiveness of therapies for continuation or discontinuation according to department standards
• Prepare and collaborate with advanced practitioners and clinical specialists to implement the respiratory care plan
• Review charts per department policy including orders, lab values, and chest X-rays, and document care accurately and consistently
• Operate and maintain equipment in a safe and sanitary condition following department guidelines
• Observe patients during therapies for adverse reactions and monitor response to therapy
• Position involves medium lifting physical demands
• Exposure to blood-borne pathogens is reasonably expected in this role
• Required certifications: Registered Respiratory Therapist credential from the National Board for Respiratory Care, current American Heart Association Healthcare Provider BLS CPR certification
• Associate's Degree from an accredited college required
• Maryland Respiratory Care Practitioner license or compact license must be in-hand
• Epic charting experience required with test-out option available
• Float within scope required
