NICU RN Job in Austin, TX

You'll work as an RN in a Level 3–4 NICU at North Austin Medical Center, caring for critically ill and premature infants in a specialized 97-bed unit. This is a 13-week contract assignment beginning June 29, 2026.

Your schedule and role:

• Work three 12-hour night shifts per week, 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Manage a patient ratio of 3 to 4 infants per RN
• No on-call requirements
• Collaborate with primarily RN staff and one unit clerk per shift

Clinical responsibilities:

• Operate and monitor specialized equipment: Medfusion pumps, Alaris pumps, Giraffe isolettes, and GE monitors
• Document care in CPN and Meditech EMR systems
• Provide direct patient care and family support in a Level 3–4 NICU environment

Requirements and qualifications:

• Current RN license
• Minimum 2 years of Level 3 NICU experience
• Current NRP and BLS certifications
• Prior travel nursing experience preferred

Dress code and facility details:

• Navy scrubs required; no nail polish or artificial nails permitted
• Full-service medical center setting
