ED RN Job in Washington, IA

Washington County Hospital and Clinics is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Emergency Department. This is a 91-day travel assignment beginning December 1, 2026.

Position Overview

You will provide direct patient care in a fast-paced emergency setting. Your nursing expertise will be essential as you assess, monitor, and support patients presenting with acute conditions ranging from minor injuries to critical emergencies.

Schedule and Shift Details

• 3 twelve-hour night shifts per week
• Hours: 5:00 PM to 5:00 AM
• Weeknight schedule with every 4th weekend required
• Weekly pay: $2,365.20

Assignment Length

This is a 91-day assignment with a start date of December 1, 2026. This duration offers a meaningful engagement while maintaining flexibility for your career planning.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver emergency room nursing care to patients of all acuity levels
• Monitor vital signs, assess patient conditions, and report changes to the care team
• Administer medications and treatments as ordered
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation
• Collaborate with physicians, specialists, and interdisciplinary staff
• Provide compassionate support to patients and families during stressful situations

You hold an active RN license and bring experience in emergency nursing. You are comfortable working night shifts, thrive in dynamic environments, and communicate effectively under pressure.
