Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg Tele

Job Details:

• Work 4 x 12-hour night shifts per week
• Patient ratio of 1:6 for days, nights, and weekends
• Every other weekend shift required (6-7 weekends per contract)
• Every other holiday required
• Float required within units of equivalent or lower level of acuity
• 2 years of recent experience required
• Travel experience required with minimum of 1 completed travel assignment
• Must successfully pass the Relias EKG Rhythm Interpretation Exam with a minimum overall score of 80% and a score of 100% on lethal rhythms
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS
• Cerner charting system experience required
• Previous charge experience preferred
• Community hospital experience preferred
• Required skills: MS/Tele, Cardiac Monitoring, Genitourinary/Renal, and IV Therapy/Phlebotomy
• Additional skills include: Accessing/Managing Ports, BiPAP/CPAP management, Blood Product Administration, Central line care/management, Chest tubes, Continuous Bladder Irrigation (CBI), Feeding tube care and management, Heparin Protocols, Interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, Isolation Precautions/PPE, IV insulin protocols, Nasal Cannula, Non-invasive airway management, Oxygen administration, Pacemakers/Temporary/Permanent, PCA, Peripheral Line Care/Management, Phlebotomy, PICC line management, Pre/Post Cardiac Cath, Pre/Post Hemodialysis Management, Renal failure, Seizure disorders, Substance Withdrawal, Thrombolytic Agents, Tracheostomy care/management, Use of Rapid Response/Code teams, and Wound Care/Wound Vac
• Care for adult and geriatric patient populations
• Common patient diagnoses include: Renal Failure, Sepsis, Diabetes, HTN, Wound Care, and Chronic Ventilation (Trach/Vent)
• Special equipment used includes: Lift, Vein Finder, and RVM Tele Sitters
• Interdisciplinary support available including IV Teams, Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, Phlebotomy, Radiology, Rapid Response Teams, Pharmacy, and Unit Secretary
