Emergency Department RN Job in Keene, NH

Cheshire Medical Center is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Emergency Department in Keene, New Hampshire. This is a temporary assignment running 91 days, beginning November 23, 2026.

Shift & Schedule

• 3x12-hour night shifts per week
• Every other weekend required
• No scheduled on-call; call coverage only during low census
• Holiday availability required for two of the following blocks if scheduled: Thanksgiving Day/Friday after and weekend after, Christmas Eve through Christmas Day and weekend after, or New Year's Eve through New Year's Day and weekend after

Role Details

• Work in a newly renovated 20-bed Emergency Department
• Serve patients from newborn to geriatric populations
• Maintain nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:5
• Provide care in a Trauma Level III facility
• Administer drips and manage ventilator support
• Collaborate with pre-hospital, emergency, and in-hospital teams
• Apply age-related growth and development knowledge to individualize patient care
• Use EPIC EMR system

Requirements

• New Hampshire RN license or compact license
• 2+ years current ED experience
• Prior travel nursing experience of at least 3 months
• BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA), and PALS (AHA) certifications
• BSN preferred
• Own vehicle required for assignment
• Professional scrubs required (no logos); traveler-provided

Compensation & Availability

• Weekly pay: $2,332.80
• All requested time off must be noted and verified at upload; maximum 5 days RTO accepted
• Travel pairs considered if able to work different shifts
