Join OU Health as a Registered Nurse in our Progressive Care Unit. This 89-week travel assignment offers you the opportunity to provide direct patient care in a dynamic clinical setting while earning $2,376 weekly on 12-hour shifts, starting September 28, 2026.

Role Overview

You will assume responsibility for an assigned group of patients, delivering skilled nursing care that bridges acute and step-down environments. Your clinical foundation in med/surg and step-down nursing will be essential, and charge experience is a strong plus for this position.

Key Responsibilities

• Document patient responses to nursing interventions and prescribed medical treatments
• Monitor and note all changes in physician orders for assigned patients
• Assist physicians in patient examinations and minor diagnostic procedures
• Obtain and monitor physiological data, intervening when necessary
• Administer medications as prescribed
• Initiate, regulate, and monitor intravenous infusions and blood products
• Interact with patients and families to share care plans during hospitalization and at discharge
• Inform patients and families of hospital procedures
• Make referrals regarding patient care needs to appropriate personnel
• Delegate tasks to support staff as needed

• Central line care and management
• Foley care and management
• End-of-life care and management
• Dialysis site care, including proper protocols for HD catheters and fistulas
