OR RN Job in Las Cruces, NM

Mountainview Regional Medical Center is seeking an experienced RN for our Operating Room. This is a 13-week travel assignment offering evening shifts Monday through Friday, 11:00 AM to 7:00 PM, with the option to work 48 hours per week.

Role Responsibilities

• Serve as circulating nurse during surgical procedures across a Level III Trauma facility
• Ensure patient safety, maintain sterile field, and coordinate surgical workflow
• Manage case preparation, equipment, supplies, specimens, and medication administration
• Document intraoperative care and maintain communication with the surgical team
• Support surgeons, anesthesia providers, surgical technologists, and ancillary staff
• Advocate for evidence-based sterile technique and organizational protocols

Surgical Specialties

You will work across General Surgery, Orthopedics, OB/GYN, Robotics, Urology, Hand Surgery, and Podiatry.

Schedule & Call

• Evening shifts: Monday–Friday, 11:00 AM–7:00 PM
• Call requirements split among OR RNs, averaging 7 calls per 6-week period
• Weekday call: 3:00 PM–7:00 AM; weekend call: 12-hour shifts (7:00 AM–7:00 PM or 7:00 PM–7:00 AM)
• No floating required
• Maximum 1 week of requested time off during the contract

Qualifications

• Current RN license
• 2+ years of OR experience required
• BLS certification required; ACLS preferred
