RN - ICU Neuro

Job Details:

• Minimum 2 years of recent Neuro ICU experience required; 3+ years preferred
• Travel experience required; must have completed at least 1 prior travel assignment
• Must live at least 100 miles from the facility
• On-call required as needed
• Weekend coverage required as needed
• Weekend block schedule may be considered during interview
• All requested time off must be submitted at time of submission
• If assignment includes end-of-year holidays, traveler must be willing to work 2 of 3 holidays if all three (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year's) fall during assignment; at least 1 of 2 holidays if only 2 fall during assignment
• Patient population: Adults
• Patient diagnoses include all neuro diagnoses
• Special procedures include EVD, Prisma, and post-epilepsy surgery care
• Patient ratio experience: 2-3 patients
• Unit census: 16 daily with 20 beds and 20 rooms
• Interdisciplinary support available including Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, Radiology, Social Services, Rapid Response Teams, Pharmacy, and more
• Charge experience preferred
• Epic charting system experience preferred
• ADN accepted; BSN not required for this position
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
• Must hold an active RN license in Tennessee or a compact RN license compliant with NLC guidelines
• Key skills required include arterial line management, ventilator management, ICP monitoring, EVD management, CVA/acute stroke management, titrating vasoactive drips, continuous IV sedation/paralytics, and care of ventilated patients among others
