PACU Registered Nurse Job in Abilene, TX

Hendrick Medical Center is seeking a Registered Nurse for our Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU). This is a 91-day travel assignment beginning October 5, 2026.

Position Details

• Work 4 ten-hour shifts per week, days
• Start times vary between 8:00 AM, 9:00 AM, or 10:00 AM with potential shift end around 9:30 PM
• On-call responsibilities required
• Float between surgical centers and areas as needed
• Weekly pay: $2,332.80

Your Responsibilities

• Provide post-anesthesia recovery care for surgical patients
• Care for a small pediatric population, including cases such as tonsillectomies and adenoidectomies (approximately 2–3 cases per week)
• Monitor vital signs, manage pain, and prepare patients for discharge or admission to inpatient units
• Collaborate with anesthesia and surgical teams

Requirements

• RN license (current and valid in Texas)
• Minimum 2 years of experience in PACU or relevant service line
• Travel experience preferred
• Altera charting system experience preferred but not required
