PACU Registered Nurse Job in Midland, TX

You will work as a Registered Nurse in the Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) at Midland Memorial Hospital in Midland, Texas. This is a travel position with a 91-day contract starting October 5, 2026.

Position Details

• Two shifts available: 8:00 AM–4:30 PM or 9:00 AM–5:30 PM
• Monday through Friday schedule, 5 days per week, 8-hour shifts
• Call required 6–8 days per month, self-scheduled
• Minimum one weekend shift per contract required
• Weekly pay: $2,448

Unit Information

• 21-bed PACU with daily census of 30
• Patient ratio: 2:1
• High volume of orthopedic, general, gynecological, neuro, and urology cases
• You will treat patients from 8 months to 100+ years old, including adolescents, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics

Clinical Responsibilities

• Recover patients from all surgeries except cardiac
• Monitor patients with nerve blocks, chest tube insertions, central lines, intubation, and arterial lines
• Care for orthopedic, neuro, general, urology, dental (adults and pediatrics), gynecological, and pediatric ENT patients
• Demonstrate strong pediatric experience including ENT, dental, and orthopedic procedures
• Assist with Pre-Op and Pre-Op Holding coverage as needed (no float to other departments)

Required Qualifications

• Current RN license
• 2 years of PACU experience preferred
• Travel healthcare experience required
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NIH
• Critical care experience strongly preferred
• Level II trauma experience preferred
• Cerner charting experience preferred
