Med Surg RN Job in Fort Morgan, CO

St. Elizabeth Hospital in Fort Morgan is seeking a Registered Nurse for a 14-bed Medical-Surgical unit. This is a night shift position with 12-hour shifts and 3 shifts per week. You'll work on a unit with a 1:4 nurse-to-patient ratio and nurse aide support available once the floor reaches 9 patients.

Clinical Responsibilities

You will read and interpret telemetry strips independently and escalate concerning findings to physicians. You'll titrate drips including analgesics for pain management, anticoagulants for blood clots, and antihypertensives for blood pressure control. Common patient diagnoses include congestive heart failure, hypertension, chest pain work-ups, COPD exacerbations, asthma, pneumonia, pancreatitis, bowel obstructions, gastrointestinal bleeding, and acute renal failure.

You may be asked to float into other acuity levels including ICU (low acuity holds), PCU/Step-Down, and Med-Surg Telemetry. Respiratory equipment on the unit includes CPAP, BiPAP, high flow, and ventilators.

Requirements

• Valid RN license
• ACLS (AHA) and BLS (AHA) certifications
• Valid driver's license (must be within 60 miles of facility)
• Available in-state for orientation week
• Experience in a rural setting preferred with understanding of lower resources and typically lower patient volumes

Additional Information

This is a 91-day travel assignment starting November 16, 2026. You'll use the EPIC charting system and wear navy blue scrubs. BSN is not required. Weekly pay is $2,079.
