Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM
• 3x12 shift schedule with 36 guaranteed hours per week
• Every third weekend required
• No on-call responsibilities
• Patient ratios of 4:1 for day shifts and 5:1 for all other shifts
• Float within service line to meet facility needs
• Minimum 1 year of experience required; 2 years preferred with Level I Teaching facility experience considered
• Must pass Relias EKG exam prior to starting; interpretation and management of dysrhythmias required
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, CPI
• Required skills: interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, med/surg, tracheostomy care and management
• Special equipment used: Alaris pumps, CPAPs, BIPPAPs, bladder scanners, lifts, hover mats, EKGs, and scales
• Care for adult and geriatric patients with diagnoses including infection, renal, cardiac, pulmonary, oncology, orthopedic, bariatric, pre-transplant, observation, and psychology conditions
• High patient turnover with patients staying anywhere from a few hours to long-term stays depending on bed availability
• Receive interdisciplinary support from IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and more
• Scrub color: Navy
• Charting system: Epic
• Candidate's home address must be at least 75 miles from the facility; no local candidates accepted
