Med Surg RN Job in Joplin, MO

You will join Mercy Hospital Joplin as a Med Surg RN in our Acute Care Float Pool, working nights on a 3x12 hour schedule. This 91-day travel assignment begins August 24, 2026, and offers you $2,102.40 weekly with 36 guaranteed hours.

Your Role

You will float throughout the facility as needed to support acute care units, caring for post-cardiac surgery, cardiac, and general medical patients. You will manage a patient ratio of 1:5 and step into the Charge RN role when one is unavailable. Weekend and call hours are required as determined by the facility.

What We're Looking For

• Current RN licensure
• Minimum 2 years of experience in Med Surg or acute care
• BLS and NRP certifications required
• Telemetry experience preferred
• Strong communication, analytical, and organizational skills
• Familiarity with a variety of clinical practices and procedures

What You'll Need to Know

• Night shift hours: 3 twelve-hour shifts per week
• EMR system: EPIC
• Scrub color: Black
• Floating across the facility is non-negotiable
