Med Surg RN Job in Kirksville, MO

Northeast Regional Medical Center is seeking an RN for a 13-week travel assignment in a Swing Bed Med Surg role. You'll work nights (6:00 PM to 6:30 AM) on a 3x12 schedule with weekends required.

Role Overview

• Provide nursing care for up to 10 inpatient rehab (Swing Bed) patients with a 1:10 patient ratio
• Absorb Med Surg patients if swing bed volume decreases
• Float primarily to Med Surg only for patient assignments; may float to other units for tasking with existing competencies only
• Call required—no standing call, but may be placed on call if volume supports, not to exceed 48 hours of call-off time per standard contract
• Weekends required; blocked scheduling requests may be accommodated (no week on/week off)
• 48-hour weekly guarantees may be accommodated

About the Unit

The unit contains 10 beds. Swing Bed patients require less nurse-intensive care than traditional Med Surg patients, though skill requirements are the same.

Requirements

• RN degree
• Minimum 1 year of experience
• Rehab and/or Med Surg experience required
• BLS certification required
