Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Weekly guaranteed hours of 36 or 48 hours - must be indicated on submission form
• Every other weekend required
• No call requirements
• 13-week assignment
• 1 year of Med Surg experience required (inpatient only)
• Required certification: BLS from AHA only
• Preferred certification: ACLS from AHA only
• Current RN license required - must meet criteria for eligibility or be currently licensed in Missouri
• Care for patients with GI, GU, wound care, acute withdrawal, altered mental status, dialysis/ESRD, and minor surgical conditions
• Patient ratio of 1:6-7 on a 30-bed unit
• Utilize nursing process to provide patient care including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation
• Coordinate patient care activities with ancillary departments to optimize patient care and comfort
• May be floated to other units depending on staffing needs
• Equipment used includes Alaris IV pumps, Kangaroo enteral feeding pumps, wound vacs, SCD machines, PCA pumps, low air loss mattresses, and remote telemetry monitors
• EMR system: EPIC
• Dress code: Black scrubs required; leggings and anything other than black scrubs are not acceptable
