ICU Registered Nurse Job in Columbia, SC

Prisma Health Richland Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse for its Intensive Care Unit in Columbia, SC. This is a 91-day travel position starting September 14, 2026, offering $1,987 weekly pay.

Position Details

• 3 × 12-hour night shifts per week
• Weekend coverage required
• Self-scheduling available
• 2:1 patient ratio for days, nights, and weekends
• Float required to ICUs and Cardiac Telemetry units
• Stand-by call required (no call pay)
• One pre-approved time off request per contract
• 72 orientation hours required

Responsibilities

You will care for adult cardiac and medical intensive care patients, including step-down overflow. Your duties include managing advanced cardiac devices (Impella, IABP, LVAD, Transcatheter Pacemakers), hemodynamic monitoring, invasive line management, ventilator management, and CRRT.

Required Qualifications

• RN degree
• Minimum 2 years experience with strong cardiac ICU background
• 2:1 patient ratio experience required
• Minimum 1 year Epic EMR experience
• Current ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications
• Arterial line management and central line care
• Dysrhythmia interpretation and management
• IABP and Impella management
• Post-cardiac surgery and pre/post cardiac cath/intervention care
• Sheath removal and vasoactive drip titration
• Ventilator management and care of ventilated patients

Preferred Skills

ECMO, ICP monitoring, pulmonary artery/Swan Ganz monitoring, TAVR, procedural sedation, and CRRT.

Support Available

You will have access to interdisciplinary support including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, radiology, and rapid response teams.
