Med Surg RN Job in Waukesha, WI

ProHealth Waukesha Memorial Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse for a 13-week Med Surg contract assignment on the 4NW Ortho Neuro unit in Waukesha, Wisconsin.

Position Details

• 12-hour night shift schedule (3x12)
• 36 guaranteed hours per week
• Holiday rotation and every other weekend required
• No on-call or callback requirements
• Charge nurse responsibilities required

Clinical Environment

You will work in a short-term acute care hospital setting with a 1:6 patient ratio, adjusting to 1:7 after 11:00 PM. Float to other like units and facilities including Oconomowoc Memorial Hospital and Mukwonago as needed based on census.

Required Experience & Skills

• Minimum 2 years of Med Surg experience
• At least 1 completed travel contract preferred
• Short-term acute care hospital experience required
• Indwelling drain removal and PICC line care/dressing changes (required skills)
• Epic charting experience within the last 12 months

Required Credentials & Certifications

• RN with Associate Degree or Certificate (Bachelor's Degree preferred)
• BLS certification
• NIHSS certification
• Wisconsin RN License
