Med Surg RN Job in Fairfield, IA

Jefferson County Health Center is seeking a full-time Registered Nurse for our Med Surg unit. This is a night shift position working 12-hour shifts from 6:00 PM to 6:30 AM, with a pay period running Monday through Sunday. The assignment is for 91 days, beginning December 7, 2026.

As a Med Surg RN, you will plan and provide total patient care through the nursing process. Your responsibilities include:

• Assessing patient needs and developing individualized care plans
• Implementing nursing interventions and evaluating patient outcomes
• Directing and guiding patient teaching activities
• Supervising and coordinating care delivered by ancillary personnel
• Maintaining standards of professional nursing practice

You will earn $2,496.60 per week. This full-time position offers the stability of a rotating night shift schedule on a medical-surgical unit.

Required Qualifications:

• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing
• Current active Iowa RN license
• BLS certification through American Heart Association
• ACLS certification through American Heart Association
