About this role
IU Health Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis seeks a CVOR Technologist for a 91-day travel assignment. You will work 3x12-hour day shifts from 6:30 AM to 7:00 PM, with a call requirement of 90–120 hours within each 6-week schedule block.
What You'll Need:
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a Surgical Technologist
- Level 1 Trauma Center experience required; first-time travelers accepted if Level 1 Trauma background is demonstrated
- Current BLS and NBSTSA certifications
- Cardiovascular and heart/lung transplant experience required
- Core skillset must include at least 3 of 4 cardiovascular skills
- Ability to receive lines from perfusion and prepare them for cannulation
- Travel experience preferred; community hospital experience preferred
Your Responsibilities:
- Prepare instruments, equipment, and supplies for cardiovascular procedures
- Assist surgeons during complex cardiac cases including CABG, valve replacements, transplants, and endovascular repairs
- Work with patient populations including adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
- Float within the hospital and to nearby affiliate facilities as needed
Procedure Experience:
You should have hands-on experience with procedures such as Coronary Artery Bypass Graft (CABG), Mitral Valve Replacement, Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement (TAVR), Ventricular Assist Device (VAD) placement, Thoracic Endovascular Aortic Repair (TEVAR), Endovascular Aneurysm Repair (EVAR), heart and lung transplant, Atrial Septal Defect Repair, Carotid Endarterectomy, Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm Repair, Robotic Assisted Cardiac Surgery, and related cardiovascular procedures. Endovascular experience is a plus; vascular-only experience is not required.

- Charting system experience preferred but no specific system required
