OR RN Job in Phoenix, AZ

BUMC Phoenix is seeking an experienced OR RN to join the Operating Room team on a 4x10 day shift basis. This is an 89-day travel assignment beginning October 19, 2026, with a weekly pay of $2,718.

Your Role

As an OR RN, you will assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and document nursing care of patients in accordance with organizational policies and professional nursing practice standards. You will review patient history and physical with patient and family members, ensuring completion within appropriate timeframes. You will review diagnostics and laboratory data, reporting abnormal results to physicians and appropriate caregivers.

Responsibilities

• Formulate individualized plans of care including discharge planning utilizing assessment data and patient, family, and health team input
• Implement the plan of care through direct patient care, coordination, delegation, and supervision of healthcare team activities
• Evaluate patient and family response to care and teaching, revising the plan of care as needed
• Document assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation accurately and in a timely manner in the patient record
• Participate in unit or facility shared leadership and support the education and orientation of facility personnel, patients, and families
• Provide direction and supervision to licensed and non-licensed personnel as needed

Requirements

• Current, valid RN license in state of practice
• BLS certification
• Minimum one year experience in an acute care hospital setting required, with experience in the operating room specialty area within the past 12 months
• Bachelor's degree preferred
• Professional certification preferred
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, squat, reach, and stretch frequently; may be required to lift up to 75 pounds
• Standard precautions required due to potential exposure to blood and bodily fluids

The schedule includes varied hours with weekend and holiday requirements.
