Physical Therapist Job in Asheville, NC

You'll work as a Physical Therapist in an inpatient rehabilitation hospital setting, treating patients in a dedicated 80-bed rehabilitation unit. This is not a float position—you'll be assigned to your team and patients throughout your assignment.

Your Role

• Treat patients with TBI, stroke, orthopedic, cardiac, SCI, pulmonary, and debility diagnoses
• Work with patient ratios of 1:6 during day shifts and 1:8 during night shifts
• Perform e-stim, ultrasound, splinting, wound care, and limb wrapping procedures
• Utilize specialized equipment including Sara Steady, Sara Plus, Hoyer, Viking, sliding boards, and adaptive equipment
• Apply safe patient handling techniques and manage complications such as autonomic dysreflexia, bowel/bladder programs, and pressure ulcer prevention
• Provide training in wheelchairs, prosthetics, orthotics, and adaptive equipment
• Document in Meditech and RehabConnect EMR systems
• Participate in team conferences and interdisciplinary communication
• Conduct family trainings and provide DME recommendations

Support Team

You'll work alongside 1 HUC and 2 Rehab Techs. Scheduling is managed through a central scheduler with flexibility to accommodate your needs.

Requirements

• Current licensure to practice in North Carolina
• Inpatient rehab hospital experience preferred
• Strong interpersonal, communication, time management, and critical thinking skills

Schedule & Location

Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM (5x8 Days). You'll work at CarePartners Home Health in Asheville, NC. Dress code is rehab casual or black scrub bottoms with eggplant purple scrub tops.
