PCU - Progressive Care Unit

Opportunity:

Registered Nurse - PCU

Job Details:

• Mixed unit covering PCU, Med Surg/Telemetry, and Med Surg
• Every other weekend shift required
• Patient ratio of 5:1 for days, nights, and weekends
• Care for patient age groups including adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
• Telemetry experience required
• Epic charting experience required
• Medication system Pyxis used on unit
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
• Minimum 1 year of acute care experience required
• First-time travelers accepted
• Required skills include central line care and management, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, IV insulin protocols, peripheral line care and management, starting and maintaining IVs, nasal cannula, non-invasive airway management, and MS/Tele
• Float to Monroe and within service line and scope of practice as needed
• Michigan nursing license must be in hand prior to start
• Navy scrubs required
• No local travelers within 50 miles accepted
