PACU RN Job in Tucson, Arizona

ADEX Healthcare Staffing is seeking an RN for a travel position in the Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) at BUMC Tucson, located at 1625 N Campbell Ave. This is a 3x12 day shift role running for 89 days, with a start date of September 28, 2026. You will earn $2,434 weekly.

Position Details

• Flex shift with start times of 9:00 AM or 10:00 AM based on case volume
• Monday through Friday schedule with varying days off
• Fast-paced environment requiring both pre-op and PACU nursing duties

Your Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and document nursing care according to professional nursing standards
• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments including physical, psychological, social, spiritual, educational, developmental, cultural needs, and discharge planning
• Review patient history, diagnostics, and laboratory data; report abnormal findings to physicians and appropriate caregivers
• Formulate and implement individualized care plans based on patient-specific needs and medical orders
• Delegate and supervise healthcare team activities while promoting continuity of care
• Document all assessments, planning, implementation, and evaluation accurately and timely in patient records

Requirements

• Current, valid RN license in Arizona
• Minimum 2 years of PACU experience
• Previous travel healthcare experience required
• BLS certification
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, squat, reach, and stretch frequently
• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds
• Standard precautions competency due to potential exposure to blood and bodily fluids
• Bachelor's degree and professional certification preferred
